Handcrafted, Small Batch, Made With Intention

Every Candleroma candle starts the same way: a small batch, a careful pour, and enough time to do it right. This page is a look behind that process — not as a marketing exercise, but because knowing how something is made tends to change how you experience it once it's lit.
From Wax to Candle: Our Process
Soy wax is melted gently and brought to the right temperature before fragrance oil is blended in — too hot and the fragrance degrades before it ever reaches your home, too cool and it won't bind evenly. Wax is poured by hand into each vessel, wicks are centered and checked, and every candle is left to cure fully before it's ever tested or shipped. None of this is automated; it's slower by design.
Why We Use Soy Wax
We use 100% soy wax across the entire range — not a paraffin blend — because it burns cleaner, lasts longer, and is a renewable, biodegradable material. It's a more deliberate (and more expensive) choice than paraffin, and we think the burn quality justifies it every time.
Our Fragrance Sourcing & IFRA Certification
Every fragrance oil we use is IFRA-certified, meaning it's been safety-tested specifically for use in burned candle applications, not just assumed safe because it smells good. This matters more than it sounds — fragrance behaves differently under heat than it does at room temperature, and certification is the difference between a fragrance that's been properly tested for that and one that hasn't.
Meet the Hands Behind the Candles
Each candle in a batch is poured, checked, and packed by the same small team — not a production line — which is part of why batch sizes stay small. It's a slower model, but it's the only way we can stand behind the consistency of every single candle that ships.
Sustainability in Every Batch
Beyond the wax itself, we think about packaging and waste at every stage — minimal, recyclable materials where possible, and a refusal to over-package products that don't need it. It's an ongoing effort rather than a finished claim, and one we keep working on as the brand grows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Candleroma candles made?
Every candle is handcrafted in India and shipped across the country, with the full hand-pour process happening in small, controlled batches rather than mass production.
What does “small batch” actually mean in terms of quantity?
It means batches are kept deliberately limited so every candle gets individual attention — centered wicks, consistent cure time, and quality checks — rather than scaling to a size where that attention isn't possible.
Is IFRA certification required, or just a quality choice?
It's not strictly required by law in every market, but we treat it as non-negotiable, since it's the clearest available standard for fragrance safety in burned products.
